A fresh new album of songs recorded During
the quarantine of 2020
When new fiddle player, violin as Whysper calls it, finds herself home for weeks on end with no sign of going back to school to finish her 5th grade year... she might just use her time preparing to record some gospel and bluegrass songs. As she started learning to play less than a year prior to this recording and then playing mainly by ear she learned a few extra songs she didn't already know and recorded her first collection of songs. You can hear her sing on Amazing Grace and I'll Fly Away, which both feature her Dad and bluegrass veteran Larry Stephenson of the Larry Stephenson Band, as well as delight in the faster paced "Liberty" trading licks from mandolin to fiddle and twin fiddling with Steve Thomas. Then slow it down where she and fiddling Steve Thomas pair up as they twin fiddle again on the ever favorite "Faded Love", that her Mom loves and PaPa used to play. You'll find Whysper singing one of her favorites, she has known for a few years after learning to play it on piano. She would, and still does on occasion play piano at church since the age of 7. We hope you enjoy "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing". This mostly instrumental collection of songs is a first endeavor for Whysper at the age of 10 years old. Recorded after she and her dad were making videos and posting them online each day as she would learn another song, trying to lift the spirits of everyone in quarantine, during a time of panic, uncertainty, not knowing what was coming next during the pandemic of 2020.
